Bonjour! Comment allez vous? This week we going to travel in France! I know some of you all ready have been there :) Me to! But it was a long time ago and I only have been few days in Paris. For me France it's the romantic country with glamour! Let's resume a bit this country; France, officially the French Republic is a country or, more specifically, a decentralized unitary state located in Europe With several islands and overseas territories on other continents. Metropolitan France stretches from the Mediterranean to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. It is often referred to as L'Hexagone ("The Hexagon") because of the geometric shape of its territory and shares borders with Belgium and Luxembourg to the north; Germany to the north-east; Switzerland and Italy to the east; Spain to the south and with the micro nations of Monaco and Andorra. The nation is the largest country in the European Union in area and the third largest in Europe, behind only Russia and Ukraine (including its overseas territories, such as French Guiana, the country becomes larger than then Ukrainian territory). For about half a millennium, the country has been a great power, with strong economic, cultural, military and political influence at the European and global level. For a long time France exercised a leading role and hegemony in Europe (mainly from the second half of the seventeenth century and part of the eighteenth century). Throughout those two centuries, the nation began colonization of various areas of the planet, and during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries it became the second largest empire in history, which included much of North America, Central Africa and Western, South-east Asia and many Pacific islands. It is known like the native land of the first great encyclopedia of the world, formed by 35 volumes and published between 1751 and 1766, in full enlightenment of Century XVIII. The country has its main ideals expressed in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. The French Republic is defined as indivisible, secular, democratic and social by its constitution. France is one of the most developed countries in the world, has the fifth largest economy in the world by nominal gross domestic product (GDP), the ninth largest by purchasing power parity and the second largest in Europe. The country enjoys a high standard of living, as well as a high level of public schooling, in addition to having one of the highest expectations of life in the world. France was ranked as the best public health provider in the world by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is the most visited country in the world, receiving 82 million foreign tourists per year! The country has the third largest military budget in the world, the third largest military force of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the largest army in the European Union (EU), as well as being one of the five permanent members of the Council United Nations Security Council and possess the third largest number of nuclear weapons in the world. Is one of the founding members of the EU and has the largest area and second largest economy in the EU. He is also a founding member of the United Nations, as well as being a member of the Francophonie, the G8, the G20, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Latin Union. The cities that I choose for this week trip are; Nice (5 days), Lyon (5 days) and of course, Paris (5 days)! So, lets get started!

Nice

Capital of the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera, is located on the pebble beach of Baie des Anges. Founded by the Greeks and then turned into a retreat from the European elite of the 19th century, the city has attracted artists for a long time. Henri Matisse, his former resident, is honoured with a collection of paintings that covers his entire career at the Matisse Museum. Vieux Nice, a labyrinth of medieval streets, features baroque churches and the colourful Cours Saleya market, famous for its flowers, fish and agricultural produce. The Promenade des Anglais, an avenue facing the bay, is flanked by large cafes and hotels. Origin place of the salad niçoise, Nice is known for the dishes made with olives and seafood.

Paris, the capital of France, is an important European city and a world center of art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. In the Marais, night clubs mix with restored 17th century mansions. On the left bank of the Seine, stand out the Latin Quarter, animated by students of the Sorbonne, and the bohemian Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
